There are a few simple steps you can take to help ensure DPD stand the best chance of delivering your parcel to the correct address, or leave it in a designated safe place.
The best way is to upload the free, safe & secure DPD app. There you can leave a more detailed description of directions, access to and even upload a photo of your property.
Drivers are happy to leave your parcel providing they have been given a clearly stated 'safe place'. You can do this via the profile section in the app OR by responding to the text message or email you are sent giving your 1-hour delivery time slot. These instructions are shown on the driver's handheld device.**
When you complete your order via our website, you have an option to leave instructions at checkout, HOWEVER, we can only copy these onto the parcel's label. There is currently no option for us to transfer these instructions on to the drivers handheld device.
We are experiencing an increasing amount of label instructions not being read, resulting in parcels not being delivered correctly first time, so are urging customers to follow the simple steps stated above.
**A valid mobile phone number and/or email address MUST be provided when placing your order for DPD to be able to contact you. Your details are NOT passed onto anyone else.
